SOPAC® 2026 Complimentary Delegate Pass Giveaway: Terms and Conditions 

 

1. Promoter  

 

The promoter is The Institute of Internal Auditors – Australia Ltd (ABN 80 001 797 557) of Level 5, 580 George St, Sydney NSW 2000 (Promoter). 

 

2. Promotion Period  

 

The promotion opens at 9:00 AM AEDT on Tuesday, 10 February 2026 and closes at 11:59 PM AEDT on Thursday, 12 February 2026 (Promotion Period). Entries received after this time will not be accepted. 

 

3. Eligibility  

 

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. Entrants must have a valid LinkedIn account and comply with LinkedIn’s terms of use. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants at any time. 

 

4. How to Enter  

 

To enter, eligible entrants must, during the Promotion Period: 

 

  • Follow the IIA-Australia LinkedIn page; and 

  • Comment on the official competition post in 25 words or less, answering: “Why is SOPAC® 2026 a must-attend for your professional journey this year?” 

 

Only one entry per person is permitted. Use of automated entry software or multiple aliases is prohibited. 

 

5. Judging (Game of Skill)  

 

This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Entries will be judged on originality, clarity, and the quality of professional insight. Judging will take place on Friday, 13 February 2026 at the Promoter’s Sydney office. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

 

6. Prize  

 

The prize is one (1) full delegate pass to SOPAC® 2026, valued at AUD $2,750 (inclusive of GST). The prize covers conference registration only. All other costs, including but not limited to flights, accommodation, transfers, and meals outside the official program, are the sole responsibility of the winner. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. 

 

7. Winner Notification & Redraw  

 

The winner will be announced on the IIA-Australia LinkedIn page on Monday, 16 February 2026 and contacted via LinkedIn Direct Message. If the winner does not respond within five (5) business days, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to the next best eligible entry as determined by the judges. 

 

8. Intellectual Property & Moral Rights  

 

By entering, entrants grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, world-wide licence to use, reproduce, and adapt their entry for any marketing purposes. Entrants unconditionally and irrevocably consent to any act or omission which would otherwise infringe their moral rights under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth). 

 

9. Liability & Governing Law 

 

Nothing in these Terms limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage suffered in connection with the promotion. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and entrants submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by LinkedIn. Entrants release LinkedIn from any and all liability arising from this promotion.
